UK-wide Laureate’s Library Tour

Using the alphabet as a compass, Poet Laureate Simon Armitage will give free readings across the UK each spring this decade to celebrate the library as one of the great and necessary institutions.

Would you like Simon Armitage to give a free reading in your community- managed library next March? Does your library’s name or location start with the letters ‘L’, ‘Ll’ or  ‘M’?

If the answer is YES, please head to https://www.simonarmitage.com/how-to-apply-l-to-m-libraries-tour-2025/

    • Submission window for invitations: July 8 – August 21
    • Tour dates: March 5-12, 2025

If your library’s name or location begins with a letter in the second half of the alphabet, you can find out when your library will be eligible to make an invitation by checking the alphabet compass at the bottom of the webpage given above.

Thus far, Simon Armitage has visited community-managed libraries in Abington (West Northamptonshire), Colyton (Devon) and Fakenham (Norfolk). Could your library be next?
