Tech Rescue: Climate Action Hubs funding opportunity – Applications open this week
A new funding opportunity to support a bold, community-led response to the UK’s growing electronic waste challenge!
This is your chance to make a difference to one of the fastest-growing environmental issues. Tech Rescue aims to create environmental and social benefits for communities across the UK, through real, lasting change.
How?
The programme aims to create long term resilience through training local people in repair skills and redistributing refurbished devices. In turn, this will create economic opportunities, and embed climate awareness into everyday life.
What are they looking for?
- They are seeking organisations already experienced in device reuse.
- They will fund 12 experienced organisations to become Tech Rescue – Climate Action Hubs, across the nine English regions and each of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
- This network will strengthen existing activity, expand reach into underserved areas, and help build a national infrastructure for grassroots e-waste action.
- If you are not already experienced in device refurbishment and distribution, this isn’t the right opportunity for you.
