This online event in April will provide you with valuable insights and strategies to better support individuals with autism and learning disabilities in your volunteer programs.
Everyone should be able to make a difference through volunteering. Creating an inclusive volunteer program that involves people from a range of backgrounds, including people with disabilities, has benefits for your existing volunteers, future volunteers and the people you are supporting.

Outcomes for the session:

  • Know there are many reasons for people to have a learning disability and that there are many different kinds
  • Know the difference between learning disabilities and learning difficulties
  • Understand better how to communicate positively with people with learning disabilities
  • Improved knowledge of the autism spectrum
