One of the ways we support older people is by offering free benefits checks.
When you reach State Pension age, you could apply for different support, but many older people miss out on extra money they could be getting each week. They may not know what financial support is available, or how to apply.
Call the Helpline for free on 0800 319 6789 (Monday to Friday, 08.30am to 5.30pm), or email helpline@independentage.org to arrange a benefits check.
The Helpline and specialist Advice team can help you find out what someone is entitled to, and how to apply for it. You might qualify for:
– Pension Credit
– Attendance Allowance
– Housing Benefit
– Council Tax Support
– and other entitlements
Even if you think you’re getting everything you’re entitled to, it’s always worth checking.
