Grant: £40K
Deadline: 2nd Feb 2026
The Llais y Lle: Community Organisations Fund from the Arts Council of Wales offers grants of up to £40,000 to support community‑rooted organisations across Wales. The fund is designed to empower Cymraeg and Cymreig voices, enabling communities to strengthen their cultural identity by working collaboratively with creative practitioners and local people.
The purpose of the fund is to help communities develop their use and ownership of Cymraeg, celebrate what it means to be Cymreig, and embed Welsh language and culture into everyday community life. Projects might involve creative workshops, cultural events, intergenerational arts activity, local storytelling, or initiatives that encourage greater visibility and pride in Welsh language and heritage.
To be eligible, organisations must:
- Be community‑based and located within the community they aim to serve
- Have a constitution referencing that community
- Be rooted in Wales (Cymru)
- Operate at any size – from small grassroots groups to larger community hubs
Funding can be used for:
- Project delivery costs
- Artist or creative practitioner fees
- Materials, equipment, and resources
- Community engagement and participation activities
However, the fund cannot be used for ongoing core costs such as staffing, utilities, or routine organisational overheads.
There is one application round each year, with the next deadline on 2 February 2026. This makes it well‑suited for organisations planning medium‑sized cultural or creative projects that strengthen language, participation, cultural identity, and local pride within their Welsh communities.
