Arts Council England has announced a further round of its Incentivising Touring Scheme, designed to support mid‑ and large‑scale theatre and dance productions to tour more widely across England. The scheme aims to reduce financial risk, encourage investment in touring productions and help audiences access high‑quality cultural experiences closer to home.
Funding is provided through repayable grants, enabling producers to bring ambitious productions to venues that might otherwise be unable to host them. The programme is intended to strengthen the touring ecosystem, increase opportunities for audiences outside major cities and support a more diverse range of productions.
While community managed libraries are not eligible to apply directly, the scheme may be of interest to libraries that host cultural activity or work in partnership with local cultural organisations. It also highlights wider efforts to increase access to arts and culture across communities and regions.
